SD GOED Economic Development Infrastructure Planning

The South Dakota Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) launched the Infrastructure First Project to enhance economic development statewide. As the chosen partner, ISG also developed five-year capital improvement plans (CIPs) for 16 communities with populations less than 5,000, helping them plan for major investments and spur economic growth. Currently, we are identifying the best sites for future development and working with communities to design industrial parks that align with their economic goals.

  • Statewide multi-pronged infrastructure investigation and economic planning effort
  • Data gathering and analysis of water, wastewater, natural gas, railroads, roads, electric, and broadband infrastructure
  • Collaborative engagement with GOED, state, and local leadership to develop a comprehensive and data-driven plan
