Prairie Rock Trails Bike Park

Rock gardens, berms, and pump tracks are features of Mason City’s newest bike park. The City sought to increase local and regional recreation by providing a mountain biking destination and extreme sports experiences. The City partnered with ISG to reconfigure a site of undeveloped land into a dynamic bike park with trails for riders of varying ages and skill levels, featuring wood boardwalks, jumps, and multiple single-track routes. A park shelter near the trailhead reflects local architecture, complemented with picnic areas, public art, and educational materials. The bike park has become a catalyst for economic growth, recreational identity, and sense of pride for the community.
