Oleson Park Master Plan

The City of Fort Dodge partnered with ISG to develop a comprehensive master plan for the Oleson Park Children’s Farm. The master plan’s design style takes a modern approach to the vernacular, barnyard aesthetic and incorporates pond and barnyard improvements, trail paths, and viewing areas site-wide. Gateway designs invite users toward viewing areas and water features.

The proposed trails lead visitors across bridges, through wooded areas, and to the band shell, splash pad, and renovated animal petting areas. Close attention was dedicated to designating clear entrance points and incorporating space for adequate parking at strategic locations across the park.
