Le Sueur/Rice County Judicial Ditch No. 38 Reroute

The Le Sueur and Rice County Joint Drainage Authority and Township of Kilkenny partnered with ISG to reroute Spur 3 of Rice Judicial Ditch 38 to prevent infrastructure failure. The road adjacent to the ditch had safety concerns due to ditch undercutting, erosion, and sediment export. ISG included a bend in the design to mimic natural channels, reduce slope, and minimize velocity and erosion. This solution addressed long-term surface water impacts, resolved the road’s safety concerns, and promotes ecological health.
