Indian Creek Recreational Corridor + Access Plan

Flowing through Marion, Indian Creek connects communities, neighborhoods, and public spaces. Leveraging Marion's unique geography, ISG collaborated with the Indian Creek Watershed Management Association, the City of Marion, and stakeholders to develop a master plan that builds on this asset, increasing recreation and economic development opportunities. The plan includes river access for watercraft and anglers, along with a soft trail network along the creek. Natural play features, festival spaces, and outdoor learning elements enhance recreational opportunities throughout the corridor. Streambank and habitat restoration, green stormwater infrastructure, and in-stream improvements build momentum around water quality and flood resiliency, helping stakeholders achieve their environmental goals.
