Experiencing large and more frequent rainfall events, the City of Brookings needed a plan to improve flood resiliency. ISG studied the stormwater patterns in Brookings using state-of-the-art modeling tools and developed recommendations for the City to address areas of concern. Recommended improvements are aimed to will reduce flooding while balancing environmental and socioeconomic factors like water quality, recreation, and budgetary goals. The recommended implementation strategies include prioritized projects, cost estimates, a timeline, and funding opportunities to maximize investments.
